About Me

Jeremy Zhao has a very short history of accomplishments he has achieved in the past 19 years. He is currently enrolled in the University of Calgary taking on chemical engineering and political science. He plays the piano, is fluent in Cantonese (but oblivious to writing and reading Chinese), enjoys spending the time with friends and family, as well as Facebook and obviously Battlefield 2.

There is nothing great or extreme that Jeremy has done, but he reflects what the normal and average Calgarian is. Jeremy was raised by two great parents who immigrated from China in the late 1980s. They have had to work through many blue collar jobs in order to help Jeremy grow up in a loving and wonderful environment. He understands first hand what it is like to be raised in that type of environment. Many of the candidates have colorful and rich portfolios that describe their job histories and volunteer experiences, but Jeremy exemplifies the average Calgarian, who spends countless hours taking care of the family, doing chores, and making ends meet.

Jeremy Zhao is no businessman, but an ordinary Calgarian who knows first hand what the transit is like in Calgary, because he takes it everyday. He is a student, and empathisizes with other students on the issues of affordable housing. He too has to go from place A to B, but is frustrated by traffic delays and the sudden annoucements of road constructions. He walks by the homeless everyday wherever he goes, and since he spends a fair bit of time in Chinatown, he gets to see the problems first hand.

Jeremy Zhao's experiences are minute compared to his candidates, but his smile and his passion outshines the rest.
