Hvar Island

We decided to choose Hvar island over Korcula simply because I was in charge of that decision and H came before K. The weather was absolutely gorgeous the two days we were there. With a car, we had more flexibility with where we wanted to go, so we went to Milna and Dubovica. Nothing was special about Milna but Dubovica was a very beautiful pebble beach with almost no one there! We also spent some quality time on the Pakleni islands just next to Hvar, specially Jerolim and Marinkovac via taxi ferry. September and October is a great time to visit Hvar without the hordes of the high season.
